Town Hall Meeting
We invite you to attend a town hall meeting on August 5, 2024 at 6:00pm located at the village community center at 110 N. Sterling Street. We’ll discuss the millage restoration and answer any questions you may have.
BACKGROUND:
• Our millage rate was 12.5 mills, which supported services such as road maintenance, drain maintenance, sewer maintenance, sidewalk maintenance, park maintenance and community programs.
• The drop in our millage has left us with a funding gap that affects everyone in our village.
OUR PROPOSAL:
• Voting for the millage proposal will restore the original millage rate.
• The proposed millage will be the same as the previous one, ensuring continuity of services without any increase in taxes.
THE PROPOSAL WILL ALLOW FOR THE FOLLOWING:
• Our community thrives when we work together.
By restoring the millage we can:
o Repair roads and infrastructure
o Repair drains and sewer systems
o Repair sidewalks
o Improve our parks and recreation program
